KKR Trivia: A Yusuf ton, ‘High 5’ at Eden & what’s KOMO?

Our Knights are back home and will face Delhi Daredevils later today in what is expected to be a ‘battle of pacers’ at the Eden Gardens. Here are some interesting numbers to look forward to ahead of this key encounter:

Another 100 for Yusuf: Yusuf Pathan will don the KKR jersey for the 100th time in an IPL game. Having played a magnificent innings against DD in the season earlier, Yusuf Bhai would certainly look to repeat his heroics. The man, behind many successful KKR run-chases, Pathan has the ability to rise to the occasion on a big day. His match-winning 59 against Delhi Daredevils came on the occasion of his darling son Ayaan’s third birthday. Don’t be surprise if ‘Pathan power’ rules Eden Gardens today.

High 5 at Eden: Our record against the Daredevils at Eden has been dominant. In the 6 matches played here, we have won five of them, losing only once in 2012.

6K awaits GG: Gautam Gambhir  has been in stupendous form this season. With 305 runs, he is at second spot in the list of top run-scorers this season. Having become the first Indian batsmen to complete 50 fifties in the T20 format on Wednesday night (26 April, 2017), GG now finds himself on the cusp of another landmark. 48 runs more and our skipper will complete 6000 runs in T20 cricket.

King of the middle overs (KOMO): After a stellar show in the last encounter against Rising Pune Supergiant, Robin Uthappa heads the list of run-scorers in the middle overs (7-15) in this IPL season. Uthappa has scored 180 during this crucial phase, a strike rate of 174.8 and a staggering average of 60.

Mathews’ blues against the Knights: In the four times played against each other, Umesh Yadav has dismissed Angelo Mathews two times. Another interesting battle to look out for, is when Mathews faces Narine. The West Indian tweaker has dismissed Mathews two times in six innings and has given just 31 runs in 23 balls.

Time for another #DusKiDahaad performance at Eden Gardens from our Knights!
