WHY WE CARE
At Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), environmental sustainability is a cause we are deeply passionate about, a commitment driven by our co-owner, Ms. Juhi Chawla Mehta. Protecting the environment is central to our values, and we use our platform to inspire positive change. Ms. Chawla’s dedication to green initiatives reflects our belief in the power of collective action to create a healthier planet. At KKR, we align with her vision, empowering our community to contribute to a greener future.
WHAT WE DO
KKR has organized several tree plantation drives, bringing together Ms. Juhi Chawla, players, and fans in a shared commitment to the environment. In 2024, we are planting 2,667 trees—one for every run made by KKR—across Kolkata, Howrah, and the Sundarbans. This initiative aims to enhance green cover, support biodiversity, and inspire others to join us in creating a cleaner, sustainable world.
