The biggest spectacle of the year awaited the Narendra Modi Stadium as India and Australia locked horns for the Final of the World Cup. This one promised to be the biggest game of the year as a new chapter was added to the historic Ind-Aus rivalry. However, Head & Labuschagne steadied the ship and built a good partnership. Their quality of partnership took them ahead despite the hard fought efforts from India in the field. Travis Head reached a magnificent century as Australia completed the run-chase comfortably, winning their 6th World Cup. Team India fought hard till the end and played their hearts out.
