Back to back 50s for Nitish Rana, two responsible innings from Robin Uthappa and power hitting from Dre Russ against KXIP. It has been quite a start to Vivo IPL 2019 for our batters.

Here are some of the records our Knights have bettered after the two matches they've played:

Uncapped Knight - No problem!

Nitish Rana, the front runner of Orange cap has scored 131 runs along with the most number of 6s (10) this season. Rana at 872 runs also tops the list of highest run scorers by an uncapped player since IPL 2016.

Rana’s 50 = Confirmed KKR Win!

In the previous match against Punjab, Nitish Rana scored his 7th half-century in IPL. This was his third for KKR, while the rest came for the Mumbai Indians. Rana has ended up on the winning side every time he scores fifty with KKR.

Highest Score at Eden Gardens

Last time we played KXIP, we ended up scoring our highest IPL score (245 runs at Holkar stadium in 2018). It was time to treat the home audience this time. By scoring 218/4, KKR registered the highest IPL score at Eden Gardens.

Robbie - The man at Eden Gardens!
Uthappa's 50s and KKR wins go hand in hand. In eight 50s he has scored (includes CLT20), KKR has lost only one match. His half-century at the top of the order sets up a platform for the batsmen to come and at Eden Gardens it has played a pivotal role in the past.

No bowlers are safe!
We have already witnessed some brutal batting displays this IPL. What makes KKR a different side than other teams is the way they pick their bowlers. All the top four highest scoring overs came from the bat of the Knights. Three of them were scored by Dre Russ (22, 21, 21) and one by Sunil Narine (24 runs).

KKR will play their first away game of the season against Delhi Capitals tomorrow and we are expecting nothing but another high-voltage encounter.
