Tim Southee cracked two huge sixes on Tuesday in New Zealand's first innings against India to go ahead of Ricky Ponting's 73 sixes in Tests. With 75 sixes in 79 matches, he now ranks 15th in list of most sixes by a batsman in Test matches.
Sachin Tendulkar has 69 sixes in 200 matches. Southee can, in fact, surpass MS Dhoni too in the coming days. He is just 3 big hits away from equalling Dhoni's 78 sixes.
Southee's countrymate and former New Zealand skipper Brendon McCullum tops the chart with 107 sixes off 101 matches. Virendra Sehwag is the only Indian to feature in the Top 10. With 91 sixes in 104 matches, he ranks 5th in the list.
