A young Mumbai Maverick with an astute technique and exciting approach towards batting, Angkrish started his career at quite a young age from the maidans of the city of dreams and set his sights to take the path of becoming the next big thing. Born on June 05, 2005, in Delhi, Angkrish is a Right-Hand Batter who represents Mumbai and has also represented the Indian Cricket team at the U19 World Cup. His parents took a tough call of sending him to Mumbai at an early age, to pursue a career in the world of cricket.
Ever since he set base in Mumbai, he stayed with Abhishek Nayar, one of the Mumbai greats and someone who's helped many cricketers through his coaching. Nayar, helped the youngster in specific areas to upgrade his game to the next level. Angkrish started by representing Mumbai at the Vijay Merchant U16 Trophy which went on to lift the trophy. He then was picked for the U-19 Vinoo Mankad Trophy in 2021 where he impressed one and all with his batting talent and temperament in pressure situations. These performances earned him first an U19 India Squad for the U19 Asia Cup where Angkrish steered the team to victory in the finals by staying not out on 56 against Sri Lanka
Angkrish's biggest moment now, came when he was picked in India's U19 World Cup Squad in 2022. He left no stone unturned in his preparation and displayed his best at the World Cup. A century against Uganda, and a crucial fifty against Ireland, was a bold statement from the youngster on the International stage. Angkrish's knock of 44 also helped India chase a tricky total against Bangladesh in the quarter finals and they went on to lift the World Cup by defeating England in the final.
