Born on 30th November 1998 in Seraikela Kharsawan in Jharkhand, Anukul Roy is a left-arm spin bowling all-rounder. He began his professional career for Jharkhand by playing age-group cricket. Anukul Roy is a proper left-arm spinner, knowing how to use his variations to his advantage. Roy is a useful option lower down the order with the bat and is agile across the field, and these three-dimensional skills make him a valuable asset.
Anukul's impressive showing at that level earned him a spot in the 2018 Men's Under-19 World Cup. Anukul finished as the tournament's joint-highest wicket-taker in India's title-winning campaign. A few days later, he made his List A debut for Jharkhand in the 2017-18 Vijay Hazare Trophy. These performances led to Anukul being picked in the IPL, providing him a big stage to showcase his skills.
